Our Commitment
Pocket Elf is committed to making the Pocket Elf web app and pocket-elf.com usable by people of all abilities. Accessibility is an ongoing effort, not a one-time project, and we review and improve it as the Service evolves.
Standard We Target
We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA as our internal benchmark for both pocket-elf.com and the Pocket Elf web app, even though no single legal standard is formally mandated for private businesses under the ADA today. We treat WCAG 2.1 AA as the best available reference for what "reasonably accessible" means in practice.
Independent Review
Before public launch, we commission an independent accessibility audit against WCAG 2.1 AA, covering both the web app and pocket-elf.com. Findings are prioritized and addressed before release, and material outstanding items are disclosed in Section 4 below.
Known Limitations
No product is perfectly accessible at every point in time. Where we're aware of a gap between the current experience and WCAG 2.1 AA, we prioritize fixing it and will note significant known issues here until resolved.
Third-Party Components
Some parts of the experience — such as the payment screens operated by [PAYMENT PROVIDER] — are run by third parties, and their accessibility is governed by their own commitments.
Feedback and Contact
If you encounter an accessibility barrier, or need information in an alternative format, contact us at accessibility@pocket-elf.com. Please include the page or screen involved and, if possible, the assistive technology you were using. We aim to acknowledge reports within 5 business days and will work with you on a workaround while we address the underlying issue.
Ongoing Review
We revisit this statement and our conformance to WCAG 2.1 AA at least annually, whenever we make a significant change to the product or site, and following any independent audit.
