Why we built this
I missed my grandmother's 80th.
Not because I didn't care. Because it was in a calendar I'd stopped checking, behind two work deadlines and a house move. I called four days late and heard her be very kind about it, which was worse than if she'd been annoyed.
Pocket Elf is the thing I wish had existed that month. It doesn't ask you to be more organised or more sentimental. It just holds the dates, watches the calendar for you, and taps you on the shoulder while there's still time to do something about it.
